The laboratory of Applied Statistics and BioMedical Computing develops methods of data analysis, mathematical tools and
data processing and takes part in research projects. It is associated with the research pole of the University of Caen and
more particularly with the Research Laboratory in Physical and Sporting Activities (CRAPS STAPS of University of Caen) and the
Regional Institute of Sport Medicine (IRMS CHU of Caen). The laboratory has promptly collaborated with a laboratory of the
INSERM of the Kremlin Bicètre Hospital and with a laboratory of Radio-analysis in Lyon Hospices Civils in the application
field of innovative biostatistical methods applied to Molecular Biology (Telomeres structure), Cellular Biology
(Hepatocytes) and Human Biochemistry (metabolism of Melatonin)
Historic :
The scientific publications made it possible to refine and to make public the work on the Chronobiometry field. In
particular, the remarkable studies that resulted from the work of Jean de Prins, Pietro Cugini, Walter Nelson,
Germaine Cornélissen,
Christopher Bingham and their scientific collaborators are noteworthy here.
